Nov. 11--Gov. Tim Pawlenty vowed to find state funding for the planned biomedical research center in Rochester or "I will die trying."
The governor resolved to find financing for the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics in a speech to managers at IBM Rochester on Wednesday.
Noting IBM's joint program in bioinformatics with Mayo Clinic -- using high-speed computers to analyze medical records -- Pawlenty also proposed adding IBM Rochester as the third member of the biomedical partnership he has championed. "I'm going to start talking ...
