Nov. 13--Toyota Motor Thailand Co, the country's largest automobile company, has started exporting its Hilux pickup trucks, the company's first vehicle developed completely outside of Japan under its 30-billion-baht international multi-purpose vehicle (IMV) programme.
The first shipment was sent out on Thursday at a ceremony attended by Deputy Prime Minister Phinij Jarusombat and Industry Minister Pongsak Raktapongpaisal. Yoshio Ishizaka, executive vice-president of Toyota Motor Corp in Japan, also joined Toyota Thailand president Ryoichi Sasaki at the event.
