AMEX'S JAPAN INDEX OPTION VOLUME INCREASES AS THE
NIKKEI STOCK AVERAGE PLUNGES TO SIX YEAR LOW
NEW YORK, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange's Japan Index options (ticker symbol JPN) volume has increased by nearly 50 percent from Aug. 7 through Aug. 12, 1992. The increase in options volume reflects the Nikkei Stock Average's six year low for the same time period.
For the four day period, JPN Index options average daily volume was more than 4,000 contracts. Open interest exceeds 34,000 contracts.
