MARLBORO, Mass. -- Egenera Inc. and Sun Microsystems Inc. today announced that Egenera will add support for the Solaris(TM) 10 Operating System to the Egenera(R) BladeFrame(R) system in the second half of 2005. With this addition, the Egenera BladeFrame will dynamically and automatically deploy and redeploy the Solaris, Linux(R) and Microsoft(R) Windows(R) operating systems across servers in real time. Under the terms of the agreement, Egenera will resell both Solaris 10 running on the x86 platform and the Sun Java(TM) Enterprise System.
