Nov. 13--WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- A salon it is not.
This is unequivocally a barber shop, a barber shop with a capital "B".
Barber chairs with burled wood armrests are lined up against one wall. A TV above the door spouts the well-enunciated blurbs of 24-hour cable news. And beneath the front window, three well-worn, black leather chairs retired to the waiting area invite those a little rough around the edges to wait for a trim.
Michael Caponigro is doing just that -- biding his time before his appointment with Aldo Sartorio.
