Nov. 13--PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Blue Cross has parted ways with its $250,000-a-year vice president for external affairs, Thomas A. Lynch, the former state senator who in recent years had been one of the chief State House lobbyists for the embattled health insurer.
A quintessential lobbyist who golfed and schmoozed and offered to rent a family-owned summer house in Nantucket, Mass., to his former legislative colleagues, Lynch was a key player on the leadership team of Ronald A.
Battista, the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island president who resigned under fire last May.
