Re: "GI Bill Needs 21st Century Upgrade" (September). VFW should not advocate abolishing the participant's $1,200 buy-in to the Montgomery GI Bill It is an investment no one can afford to pass up. Investors in the stock market would love to get such a return on their investments!
To keep up with inflation, perhaps enlisted men should contribute 10% of their base pay per month ...
