Nov. 16--The new Aveda Institute San Antonio has signed on as the second tenant as part of the redevelopment of the historic Pearl Brewery site.
The San Antonio institute, founded by Chief Executive Officer Kathy Thalman, owner of K. Charles & Company Salons in San Antonio and Spring Branch, will be family-run in partnership with Aveda, using the company's products and curriculum.
Thalman's daughter Holly Zapata will serve as educational director, and Thalman's son Chase will serve as systems director.
