Nov. 17--WATERBURY, Conn. -- Lisa Noonan's job as an administrative assistant for a Danbury pharmaceutical company was eliminated last May. After spending a month or so working on her tan and catching up on her reading, she began the long and often difficult process of finding a new job early last July.
As of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, she was still looking. And that explains her appearance at Tuesday's job fair at the Courtyard by Marriott on Grand Street.
"I was optimistic at first, I was pretty sure I'd be able to find something," the Waterbury resident said, adding that the only jobs she has found in the past five months ...
