Article: Entergy Charitable Foundation Awards More Than $617,000 to Benefit Nonprofit Organizations.

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Through Entergy's high level of commitment to the community, the company's recent contribution to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank will provide 30 tons of food to needy individuals in the Baton Rouge area for an entire year.

This is only one of 64 grants totaling $617,829 that the Entergy Charitable Foundation recently awarded to benefit nonprofit organizations that emphasize education, literacy and low income issues.

This marks the completion of the Foundation's third funding cycle for 2004 and brings the total dollars awarded this year to $3,045,500.
