Officials with San Antonio, Texas-based Tidelands Oil & Gas said Thursday they have hired Remora Technology to explore the commercial design and operation of a HiLoad Liquefied Natural Gas Regasification Terminal in the Gulf of Mexico.
In a joint statement, both companies said Remora Technology would begin gathering data needed to develop a design and follow up with a preliminary design study for a terminal.
No cost estimate was released on the project and the firms did not say how long the initial design study would take.
