Nov. 18--As a child, Renee Cameron said, she was trained to feel better after eating a cookie. And, after she became a mother, Cameron said it was only natural that she used food to console her son, James, who is now 14.
Yet, Cameron said she decided to make a change after James' doctor issued him a stern warning last year: Lose weight now or suffer serious medical problems later.
Now, James and his mother go to the gym at least three times a week. His weight has fluctuated in the year since he started the program, but since September's he has lost seven pounds. ...
