Nov. 19--TIFFIN, Ohio -- Ballreich Bros Inc. remains rooted to the same residential neighborhood where the potato chip company was founded in a garage nearly 85 years ago.
Ballreich family members continue to hold all of the private Tiffin company's shares. A grandson of founder Fred Ballreich is board chairman and a grandson of his brother who joined in early on is the president and chief executive.
The wavy chips are still called "marcelled" after a popular women's 1920s hairstyle, and generations of Ballreichs have used bags as "calling cards" when ...
