General Motors has developed a new aluminum forming process for parts attached to the 2004-model Chevy Malibu Maxx. The proprietary GM forming system is expected to provide improved styling flexibility, simplify assembly, boost quality and improve fuel economy, according to Larry Bums, corporate vice president of research, development and planning.
