The industry is developing products based on the nanotechnology projects born in Brazilian laboratories. One example is the packaging that extends the durability of food and beverages developed by professor, Fernando Galembeck, of the Unicamp university (Universidade Estadual de Campinas), in a partnership with Rhodia-Ster. The patent that allows the packaging has been filled in 2001 and in 2003 internalized by Rhodia-Ster to be transformed into a product.
