Royal Caribbean has something to announce in Eugene on Thursday. And it's important enough that Gov. Ted Kulongoski is scheduled to be there.
But no state or local officials were leaking details on Tuesday.
The company "asked all of us to keep quiet until they do their announcement," said Jack Roberts, executive director of the Lane Metro Partnership.
It appears that Miami-based Royal Caribbean will use the Thursday event to finally make public its plans to build a 180,000-square-foot reservations call center on 22 vacant acres in Springfield's Gateway area.
