NEW YORK -- The perils at Perry Ellis continue.
Even though Perry Ellis International (PEI), the company that controls the Ellis trademarks, and Salant Corp. (whose Perry Ellis Group division is PEI's major men's wear licensee) finally settled the litigation concerning back royalty payments that has been dragging on for years - there remains a battle between the two concerning the general direction of Perry Ellis Group's men's wear and who, if anyone, should now be considered men's wear design director.
