Nov. 20--Mayor Kay Barnes said Friday it's time to explore the option of a downtown ballpark but added the community also must address the immediate needs of Kauffman Stadium.
The mayor offered her qualified support for a downtown ballpark at the annual luncheon of the Downtown Council and, earlier in the day, to the board of the Economic Development Corp., the city's umbrella development agency.
