Hospital aims to make group members staffers
A plan by MetroHealth St. Luke's Medical Center to make some of its doctors employees of the hospital has caused discord in the ranks of its medical staff.
William G. West, president and chief operating officer for Metro St. Luke's, confirmed that the hospital's decision to terminate its relationship with four medical groups has resulted in a clash between St. Luke's administration and its doctors. The doctor groups provide medical care and diagnostic services at the hospital.
