The scene looks like a moving work of art as painted by Degas. A dozen or so waif-like young women stand around the edges of a mirrored room and bend and stretch by the barre, limbering up for the evening's performance of Petipa and Gorsky's Don Quixote. The romantic ballet - its grand pas de deux is one of the most frequently performed gala pieces in the world - is one of two works the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet is bringing to London's Royal Festival Hall in December and January.
