LAS VEGAS, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Las Vegas, known for both spectacle and splendor on a large scale, will kick off its year-long Centennial celebration on New Year's Eve 2004 with a pyrotechnic extravaganza surpassing all others, transforming the five miles of sky above the Las Vegas Strip into a rainbow of color brighter than the neon lights for which the city is famous.
