Fern "Mackie" Le Beau
Funeral services for Fern "Mackie" Le Beau (nee McCabe), 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Hollywood Hills, Calif. Born Jan. 10, 1921, in Chicago, she passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Regency Park El Molino in Pasadena, following a battle with Alzheimer's disease and cancer. Mackie graduated from Chicago's Foreman High School in 1939 and later attended night school at Northwestern University. She met her husband, Jack Le Beau, on a blind date at the Northwestern-Notre Dame football game on Nov. 15, 1941. They married May 28, 1943. Mackie and Jack both served in ...
