I'm not sure when I first discovered "paperwhites," the distinctively scented bulbs that annually turn my front entry hall into a winter garden. Once I tried them, however, they quickly became a staple that I stock up on each fall.
I currently have a couple of low bowls crowded with bulbs on the floor in front of a sunny living room window with a good three dozen bulbs bagged up in the garage awaiting their moment in the sun.
