2004 DEC 4 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Alabama Governor Bob Riley's health insurance proposals for public employees will require smokers to pay more starting next year, but no extra charges are planned for treating obesity or alcoholism, proponents said November 9, 2004.
Riley's five bills were approved by House committees November 9, 2004, and will be up for consideration in the House on November 10, 2004, the third day of a special legislative session called by the governor.
