To explore the soul of Syracuse, as Syracuse University Chancellor Nancy Cantor has invited the SU campus and its surrounding community to do, first one has to understand what soul is.
A Web site developed by SU's library staff is focused on doing that. The site explores the concept of soul with definitions and quotations from a variety of sources - dictionaries, literary works and comedians.
The site also invites the community to add its ideas of what soul is, fulfilling one of Cantor's goals of building stronger ties between the university and community and creating opportunities for the two to interact.
