Nov. 29--Christmas Day is a traditional time to celebrate, and this year it falls on Saturday, a traditional time to kick back and relax after the work week.
But New Mexicans who plan to have a few drinks on Dec. 25 -- whether for Christmas or just because it's Saturday -- will face the "last round" earlier than they might expect, thanks to a little-known state law.
On Christmas Day in New Mexico, alcoholic beverages may be sold only between noon and 10 p.m., and to sell alcohol any time on Christmas Day, the holder of the liquor license must also have a valid ...
