Nov. 28--South Dakota women rank near the top nationwide in terms of health and participation in the labor force, but their wages and salaries are in the cellar.
That's according to a new report called "The Status of Women in South Dakota." Only North Dakota's women are healthier than those in South Dakota, which shares second place with Minnesota and Utah.
Minnesota is No. 1 when it comes to the percentage of women with jobs outside the home; South Dakota is second. But the women next door in Minnesota take home considerably more money, because South Dakota and Montana are tied for the bottom of the heap for wages and ...
