BIRMINGHAM, England (FNS) -- The Premier Collections trade show here last week was further evidence of the growing emphasis U.S. women's apparel manufacturers are placing on the European market.
The interest was further underscored with the word that one of America's largest women's apparel firms -- The Leslie Fay Cos. -- plans to establish its first freestanding store in the world in the London area.
The show, according to show producer Blenheim Exhibitions, brought together 1,900 labels in women's wear, men's wear, children's wear, lingerie, bridalwear and swimwear. About 1,200 labels in various women's apparel segments were on hand.
