Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sun-Sentinel, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Gazette, KGO-TV (San Francisco), WJAR-TV (Providence, R.I.) and WRVO-Radio (Oswego, N.Y.) took top honors in the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Journalism Awards of Excellence program, announced today at the ACEP Scientific Assembly in Seattle. Established in 1986, the annual awards program recognizes outstanding reporting by the lay media on the specialty of emergency medicine.
