Nov. 30--SO KEEN was WPP boss Sir Martin Sorrell to win the $400 million (211 million pounds) Samsung account, reports Fortune magazine, that he flew from London to Seoul for just 24 hours for the opening of a museum funded by the family behind the South Korean group. WPP got the job.
But this isn't the only example of Sorrell's determination. The day after making a pitch in Seoul to Samsung, he was back in WPP's London offices, using all his powers of persuasion to secure HSBC's $600 million worldwide advertising brief.
