Valuable wetlands and waters in the U.S. Southwest are at risk as a result of deficient federal protection according to the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). In a new report, Down The Drain: The Destruction of Waters and Wildlife in the Southwest, NWF charges the federal government, especially the Corps, for failure to properly administer wetlands protections under the Clean Water Act (CWA).
