Introduction
In this article we will examine the issue of weight gain associated with insulin treatment in people with type 2 diabetes. We will consider the reasons why people may gain weight on insulin and look at whether weight gain can be predicted. We will also review the use of various insulin regimens to see if there are simple strategies that can be used to minimise potential weight gain.
