Jet lag, someone once quipped, is nature's way of making you look like your passport photo.
True enough, but as all world travelers know, the most troublesome effects of jet lag aren't cosmetic. The real problem is how you feel. Exhausted, light-headed, disoriented, a bit dull in the brain. There's also a probability of sleep dysfunction. Insomnia at night, drop-dead fatigue during the daylight hours--that's jet lag at its typical worst.
