  TRANS-LUX ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF OUTDOOR SIGN PORTFOLIO 
NORWALK, Conn., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Trans-Lux Consulting Corporation ("TLCC"), a subsidiary of Trans-Lux Corporation, purchased from American Electronic Displays, L.P. ("AED") a portfolio of outdoor electric and electronic display equipment which are leased to third parties.  AED is a Delaware limited partnership, which had filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code.  The asset purchase agreement carried a total cost of $17,475,000.
