Dec. 3--State Farm Lloyds is seeking a restraining order against the Texas Department of Insurance.
The state's largest homeowner's insurer said late Thursday it made the filing in response to the state insurance regulator's move to gain refunds for consumers despite a court ruling in the insurer's favor.
"We don't believe they are following the applicable standards and procedure for rate disapproval," said spokeswoman Sophie Harbert. "That's really all I can comment on at this point.
