Being a woman on the farm has long meant more than pie baking and calf feeding, but now a Midwest photographer is being deliberate about documenting the chores, the rigors, the passion and the ingenuity of the work.
She has found that - for some women - this is not a job, but a calling.
"Voices of American Farm Women" is a series of short films and black/white photographs that are being produced by Cynthia Vagnetti, a Detroit native and former Madison resident who now lives in Minnesota.
