   NEW YORK POWER AUTHORITY REPAIRS VANDALIZED TOWERS 
COLUMBIA, N.Y., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Crews worked Monday to 

repair three transmission towers that partially fell Sunday as a result of vandalism along the New York Power Authority's Marcy-South line in this Herkimer County town.

 
Power was cut off on the 207-mile line's northern segments, but continued to flow on portions of the line south of the Coopers Corners Substation in Sullivan County.  Electricity supplies were unaffected as power was carried on other transmission lines.  There were no injuries.
