Ben & Jerry's has announced the appointment of Walt Freese, Chief Marketing Officer for the Vermont-based ice cream manufacturer for the past 3 1/2 years, to CEO (Chief Euphoria Officer, in B&J terms). He succeeds Yves Couette, who will become Senior Vice President for Unilever's Beverages Category. Both moves are effective December 1st.
Prior to joining Ben & Jerry's, Freese was General Manager of Celestial Seasonings where he increased revenue 57% over three years.
