Dec. 4--NEW DELHI, India -- In a move that could increase competition among airlines on the busy London-India sector and bring down fares, Virgin Atlantic has won rights to launch daily services to Delhi.
The UK-based carrier, owned by Richard Branson, has also been allowed by the British authorities to launch three flights a week on the London-Mumbai sector.
Mr Branson, who has promised to bring down fares on this sector with stiff competition, said the new services would be launched from February 1.
