GIPSY MOTH IV, one of the most famous names in British maritime history, is to sail around the world again - 40 years after Sir Francis Chichester's epic voyage in her.
The 54ft yacht in which he circumnavigated the globe has been in dry dock ever since his triumphant return to Plymouth in May 1967.
But now her custodians, the Maritime Trust, together with the United Kingdom Sailing Academy and Yachting Monthly magazine, are to relaunch Gipsy Moth for the Blue Water Round the World Rally in 2007.
