Offensive tackle Marc Colombo took some snaps with the first team during Wednesday's practice and took another step in a two- year journey that the former first-round draft pick believes will lead him back to the starting lineup.

That's where Colombo was as a rookie in 2002 before he suffered a dislocated left kneecap on Nov. 18, followed by complications, including nerve damage. After two years of rehabilitation, waiting and watching, he can't wait to get back to live action.

"I feel like I can compete now," he said. "I feel really good. I feel better than when I was playing a couple of years ago. ...
