We live in an era of bigger-faster-more. In the bluegrass world, this means speed instrumentals that threaten to make the genre wholly a question of chops. What a relief, then, to hear the Nashville Bluegrass Band. Sure, these guys can play; all are popular session and backup men, particularly fiddler Stuart Duncan and Monroe-style mandolinist Mike Compton (who returns to the band after an absence).
