This fall, Cable Positive awarded grants totaling $68,800 to 14 AIDS service and community based organizations joining forces with their local cable systems to fight HIV/AIDS through community partnerships via the Tony Cox Community Fund 2004 Cycle 2. The fund is dedicated to providing grants for qualified non-profit organizations to partner with their local cable systems in the aim of HIV/AIDS awareness, education, and prevention.
The grantees' projects range from production of HIV/AIDS public service announcements (PSAs) and other programming to producing promotional spots for AIDS awareness events such as AIDS Walks. More than 30 local PSAs will be produced ...
