Ask any freshman and they will tell you that the first year is usually one of transition.
The first-year students are trying to remember teachers' and classmates' names, where their second-period class is held and the combinations for their lockers.
But Wheeling freshman Amber Stack made herself feel right at home on the cross country course.
Stack started the season by finishing third at the Lake Park Invitational, but the freshman reeled off victories at the Forest City, Loyola, and Wheeling invites.
