Dec. 8--TRINIDAD, Colo. -- Lake Charles, La.-based Shearman Real Estate LLC, has signed an agreement with the city to purchase the 94-year-old Toltec Hotel, one of historic Trinidad's most famous but most dilapidated buildings.
Shearman says it will soon begin a $2 million-plus renovation-restoration project.
The project will involve restoring the three-story building's exterior facade to its original appearance, housing up to 26 urban loft apartments on the top two floors and using the bottom floor for commercial or retail operations.
