The celebrity daughter of one of the most famous actors in cinema history has spoken of her discovery that she has ancestral roots in Swansea, and of her plans to visit the family graveyard during her current visit to Wales. Geraldine Chaplin, daughter of silent comedy legend Charlie Chaplin, is working on the feature film adaptation of Heidi, which is being shot in Carmarthenshire.
She said yesterday she was herself surprised to discover that her father's side of the family came from Wales.
