Barry Bonds continues to set himself further apart from his competition. Bonds recently captured the National League MVP award for a record seventh time and fourth year in a row-no other major leaguer has won more than three.
The San Francisco Giants left fielder became the oldest player to win the award after receiving 24 of 32 first-place votes and 407 points in balloting by the Baseball Writers' Association of America.
"I don't know if one is better than the other. They're all overwhelming," the 40-year-old Bonds said about his new records.
