American Express Co. and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), China's largest bank and card issuer, have launched a cobranded, dual-currency credit card, Kenneth Chenault, AmEx's chairman and CEO, told reporters this morning during a news conference in Beijing. The ICBC American Express Card initially is being issued in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, where card acceptance in China is the highest and where there is a large and growing group of professionals with disposable income.
