2004 DEC 14 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Variations in barometric pressure do not significantly alter the BTPS correction factor.
"The conventional BTPS (body temperature and pressure, saturated with water vapor) correction factor varies with ambient barometric pressure (P[subscript]B) and many lung function laboratories measure P[subscript]B daily," scientists in Australia explained.
D.P. Johns and colleagues at the University of Tasmania conducted a study "to investigate whether a fixed value for P[subscript]B could replace daily measurements."
