The Wenatchee Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau named Roger Clute as its new executive director in November while coincidentally East Wenatchee decided to end its relationship with the organization next year.
The Wenatchee Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau is a joint venture between East Wenatchee and Wenatchee created for the purpose of promoting the area to out-of-towners.
Clute will take the helm of the visitors bureau Dec. 6. Originally from Wenatchee, Clute said he believes his experience, which includes hotel sales since 1987,has prepared him for the marketing position.
